July updates

In Monthly Updates

You might not know it, but any time someone requests a feature or improvement to Prevue (no matter how small), it's noted. That list then informs a lot of the decisions I make about updates to the app, and quite often gives me a decent insight into how people use Prevue, and what they expect of it.

From that list, I've been working on a number of significant updates and have a number planned for the next couple of months — and in the spirit of sharing, I thought I'd let you in on the plans:

Groups

This feature, due to launch within the next few weeks to Freelance and Studio plans, introduces the ability to organise multiple projects into groups. This means you'll be able to share one URL with your clients which will contain a much more organised body of work. For example, your 'New Logo' group might contain 'Moodboard', 'Concepts', 'Version 1' and 'Final' projects —€“ all stored in one handy location.

Smaller updates

There are, of course, numerous updates on the horizon - here are a few:

  • Bulk addition of background images
  • Ability to archive (hide) an old project
  • View all images, in chronological order

Roadmap

After the launch of Groups, there will be another big round of updates that'll happen around improving the feedback, annotations and approvals process. It's still in the planning phase, but a big change is coming - hang tight!

As always, if you've got any suggestions of your own - or would like to see an improvement made sooner, give me a shout in the comments.
